Otolaryngologists, commonly called ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctors, treat a variety of conditions that affect the head and neck. The adult and pediatric ENTS at South Coast Ear, Nose & Throat, Drs. Leslie Berghash, John Lanza and Camysha Wright, see patients who have sinus infections, hearing, loss, dizziness, allergies and other illness and disorders. You or your child may benefit from a visit to the ENTs in Fort Pierce, Okeechobee or Port St. Lucie, FL, if you have any of these issues:
Inflammation in your sinuses is common when you have a cold or other viral infection. Unfortunately, the inflammation can continue long after you've recovered from your cold. Known as sinusitis, the condition causes sinus pain, congestion, post-nasal drip, facial tenderness and headaches. If it's been a few weeks or longer since you had a cold or an upper respiratory infection and you still have these symptoms, it's time to call your Fort Pierce, Okeechobee or Port St. Lucie ENTs.
Does it seem as if someone turned down the volume on the entire world? If you have trouble hearing the dialogue on the TV, can't hear well when talking on the phone, or struggle to keep up with in-person conversations, you may have hearing loss. Your ENTs will determine the cause of the loss and recommend treatments and strategies to improve your hearing, such as a hearing aid, if appropriate.
Vertigo, dizziness, spinning, nausea or balance problems can be related to an issue with your inner ear. Infections, diseases or displacement of tiny crystals inside the ear can cause the symptoms.
Call your ENT if you have any of these symptoms or conditions:
